I know it is a little late and Christmas is right around the corner but I’ve been wanting to share with you this Stunning and Simple Nordic Christmas Table!
A Little Backstory
In the States, I would normally have the house fully decked out for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. I love the Christmas Season and everything about it. There is one tiny problem here in Norway it isn’t traditional to decorate (other than advent decorations) until the week of Christmas. It makes me a little sad not to enjoy the Christmas decorations as long.
Decorating for Christmas and all the twinkling lights are so koselig so they should do it earlier. So this was the year of compromise! The kids (yes the kids, not me) were able to convince Bestefar and Baestiss to allow us to decorate. As soon as they gave me the go head I set off in a whirlwind to transform what I could into the Christmas spirit.
The dining room/kitchen is the heart of our home. As a family, we sit down and eat dinner together just about every night. So when I set off decorating I knew I wanted a beautiful table for all of us to enjoy. I also knew I wanted to bring in lots of elements from Norway and the Nordic culture.
Don’t worry I am going to share exactly what I did so that you can have this stunning and simple Nordic Christmas Table as well.
