Protein bars can be so convenient and super easy when you need a quick snack or left home with your stomach is rumbling.
But make sure you read the label!
Some protein bars have 30 grams or more of sugar! That’s more sugar than even some candy has…yikes! Sugar is a toxin. It makes us age faster, ruins our skins, keeps our midsection puffy and sends us on a crazy ride of one craving after another craving and another.
Also be sure to check the ingredients. 3-5 “recognizable” ingredients is what I like-nuts, seeds, etc.
If a protein bar has 15 + ingredients, as some do, most of which you do not recognize put it down and try make these Coconut Energy Bites instead.
(Psst….they’re allergy friendly)
They are made with real, whole foods and will keep you going until your next meal or through your next workout without causing that afternoon crash and burn.
