Do you hate getting up early? Then chances are the last thing you want to do is workout. However, early morning workouts can be the best. Not only are you more likely to have gyms and running tracks more to yourself, but it will give you a great energy boost to start your day. Set an Alarm
No, not the alarm next to your bed, though you do want to set that early enough to fit in your workout. What this means is that you want an alarm set for your workout. For example, if you’re getting up at 5am, set a phone alarm for 5:30am. This is your workout alarm and it’s a great reminder to get up and get moving.
Make it a Habit
Some people recommend working out 3 to 5 days a week. However, an early morning workout is easier to tackle when you make it a habit. This doesn’t mean you have to work out really hard each day. Instead, alternate your workout. Do cardio one day and muscle training the next. This allows different parts of your body to rest. Even if you just get up and go for a walk, it will keep you in the habit.
Work out with a Friend
It can be easier to get going when you know someone is waiting for you. If you have a friend that is also trying to get into shape, meet them at the gym each morning. Not only does this make it easier to get going in the morning, but working out with a friend is much more fun.
Have everything ready to go
If you wake up and have to find your workout clothes and select songs for your playlist, you’ll never get your workout done. You want to have your clothes laid out or in your gym bag and have your playlist ready to go on your phone. You wont believe what a difference this will make.
