I know I am not the only one that has had to waste time searching for something over and over again (hello remote control). When you have stuff everywhere, it is easier for things to get lost in the pile. With minimalism the old saying ” a place for everything and everything in its place” is a must have motto. Following this motto can make sure that you don’t spend half of your time searching for a item.
Less Stress of the “what-ifs”.
With a minimalist mindset, you know stuff is just that, stuff. Of course you have some items of significance and sentimental value, but most things do not hold this value. Most things are simply items taking up space in your home, your mind and in your life. Do you really need 5 different colors of the same jacket? Do you really need 12 wine glasses in your cabinet? The answer to those questions is no. When you become a minimalist, you can easily answer those questions instead of being concerned and wondering “what-if” you need them at some point in the distant future.

A cluttered home is a messy home. while it may not be dirty in the “dirty dishes all over the place” kind of messy, a cluttered home simply does not feel as clean when you walk into it. When you declutter and take on a minimalistic approach to living, you will find that your house simply feels cleaner. You will have more space when feels pretty great if you ask me!

Not only will your house feel cleaner but it will actually be easier to keep clean. When you don’t have to pick up as many toys to put away you can clean the kids’ rooms much quicker. When you don’t have to pick up piles of mail to clean around, you’re going to find it easier to clean your countertops. This can be said for most of the typical messes throughout the house.
